By using or purchasing this website, you are agreeing to the terms and condition stated here and in the other statements on this website.

 

Retail Sales:

We retain the right to refuse the sale of any products online should we deem that it is the appropriate action e.g. we feel the item is being misused/abused or there is risk to patient safety. We do not accept liability should we decline the sale. We recommend you see your doctor for further advice should your symptoms persist rather than self-medicating or contact us for advice. 

If you would like to buy a product that we are not advertising on our website, please email us which product you are after and we will try our best to source it for you.

 

Prescription Medicines:

If you purchased an item that clearly states "PRESCRIPTION ONLY" or a "SCRIPT" is required, in the product title and/or description, then we need a prescription from a NZ-registered doctor before the order can be released. If you have the script with you, please email it as an attachment (then post it in the mail) or ask your doctor to email it directly to us. Otherwise you will be charged a 20% refund fee (as we get charged credit card and refund processing fees) should you fail to provide a valid prescription from a NZ registered doctor upon purchasing a product that specifically mentions you needed a prescription. Thank you for understanding.

 

Pharmacist-only/Restricted Medicines:

If you purchase an item that is classified in New Zealand as a Pharmacist-only/Restricted medicine, there may be a delay in processing your order. You must provide your full contact details including your full name, physical address, and your email address so we can ask a few questions to assess if this medicine is right for you.

Should we deem that this medicine is not appropriate for you or if we do not receive a reply if we have a query, we have the right to refuse the sale and we will process a refund.

 

Product Titles/Descriptions and Photos:

The product TITLE is primary (as opposed to the PHOTO). Manufacturers change/upgrade their products and packaging constantly and we do not always get notified in time to update our product profiles and what we supply you may therefore may slightly differ from the description and photo at the time of purchase.

While we always strive to have the most up-to-date photos of products on our website, in case of a discrepancy or difference between a photo, the title or description, it is the  title that takes precedence. Most of the time, the product and its ingredients/forumla is unchanged but the product exterior may look different to what is on our website.

However if you have any concern about your product(s) that you've ordered, please email us back immediately if you specifically wanted an old packaging (if you know it has changed so we can check stock prior to sending your parcel and can cancel your order if we do not have it).

Some products may come in different assorted colours and we cannot guarantee you will get the same colour as in the advertised photo. Please contact us if you are requesting certain colours or have queries regarding the above.


Discrepancies in delivered orders:

We need to be notified within 3 days of receiving the order of any discrepancies between what is delivered on the invoice and the parcel. We need to receive photographic evidence as well of the invoice and the parcel within that timeframe otherwise we are unable to help you unfortunately. 


Out of Stock items:

Some items may be "supplier out of stock" due to manufacturing issues or other reasons, and in that case, we will email you & inform you that is the case and the ETA (expected time of arrival) and we will do our best to retrieve the products for you. Therefore in such cases, your delivery will fall outside of the expected "Shipping times" mentioned above and your patience will be much appreciated.


Courier Information:

We require signature-only on receipt for all our parcels in New Zealand to protect your product and protect us, and to avert any disputes. This will require you to be at the delivery address in order to sign for it.  This is because there has been lot of theft of parcels recently so it's to provides insurance if your product is lost or stolen. This provides insurance. If you are not at the delivery address, the courier will usually leave a “Card to Call” where you can re-direct the delivery or you can pick it up from the Courier Depot (or closest Post Office).

You can request "no-signature" as you checkout, but if you do so, we will NOT be liable for any loss should the courier company leave your parcel in the letterbox or door-step.

If you select "Signature Required" but also write extra instructions to leave it at your door-step or letterbox (despite choosing signature-only option) then there is no insurance on your parcel.

NZ Post usually now has an authority-to-leave parcel agreements with some households  which can waive the signature-required policy; however in this case which we will not be responsible if your parcel is lost if you agreed to that with NZ Post.

If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided or if it was not picked up, we are not responsible for extra shipping costs that maybe incurred for re-delivery of the parcel. Should a refund be requested in this case, we will charge you a 20% re-stocking fee and the shipping fee.

We are not liable for failure to deliver on a timely basis due to circumstances beyond our control. Once a parcel leaves our premises, deliveries become beyond our control.

Please notify us if there are special instruction for delivering your products e.g. if you live in an apartment building or if you have a secure gate or a dog, or whether the parcel can be given to the building manager/reception or any other necessary information to be passed on to the courier.

 

Shipping:

We offer free shipping for purchases $50 and overFor purchases under $50, a $5 shipping fee will apply. Delivery should be within 2-7 business days unless otherwise advised and depending on Public Holidays.

We are able to deliver parcels to PO BOXES. We prefer to deliver to your work address (if you are not at home) so it can be signed for. See below "Signature Required" for more info.

We can deliver to RURAL areas. Rural deliveries may take 2-4 more days to deliver. Rural deliveries do notincur an extra charge but please clearly note the Rural District number (RD#) in your address details or at least indicate it is a rural delivery.

We do not send any parcels internationally.

Cold Items:

We send all cold products with an ice pack in an insulated bag or container. We can only send them Monday-Wednesday at latest and away from Public Holidays; so expect a product delay if you purchased such a product later in the week. Please make sure someone is available at the provided address to pick up and refrigerate the product on arrival as we are not responsible and will not compensate the loss if the cold item has been kept in the courier depot/warehouse due to delays.

 

Currency & Pricing:

Our pricing is in the New Zealand Dollar (NZD) currency and includes GST (NZ Sales Tax).

You can buy the same products at the same price in-store. Feel free to come in and meet us, however we recommend you give us a call at least a day or two prior to coming in to check if the product is in stock in our front shop.

 

Returns & Exchanges:

We are committed to providing and delivering top quality products to our customers. We cannot give you a refund if you change your mind about a product. We are not obligated to refund items unless they are defective or damaged. But if you are unsatisfied with any products, please call us and inform us so we can improve out service and we will discuss possible options.

For hygiene reasons, any item of a personal nature (e.g. cosmetic/sexual/skin care/food products) cannot be exchanged or returned, unless the product is faulty. We welcome the return and exchange of a product that has a manufacturer defect or damaged while in transit or if we had made an error, providing the following conditions are met:

  • You notify us within 3 days of receipt by email or phone and include your contact details, order number, proof of purchase and clearly describing the issue. Please take photos of damaged goods and packaging and email us those photos. Returns notified after 3 days of receipt cannot be accepted. We can track our products and have a date of receipt by the client.
  • Returned goods must be in their original packing, unopened and not damaged or altered in any way and the contents must be in their original resalable condition. We do not accept returned goods that have been opened or used. Must be as ‘new’ unless was damaged in transit.
  • Must be returned within 10 days of receipt.
  • Must provide your address and telephone number clearly in case we need to contact you.
  • All products returned must be shipped by courier with a tracking number. Shipping charges on returning products for exchange or a refund are payable by you unless they were defective or damaged in transit or as a result of our own error. We will not charge you for re-sending you a replacement product if it had a manufacturer defect or damaged or if it was our error.
  • Damaged items while in transit must be returned via courier in original packaging of the product and original courier package.
  • For lost items, you must notify us immediately if you haven’t received the goods within 7 days and we will track it and inform you on its status. We will advise you on the claim process.
  • Refunds will be processed once the products has been received and investigated.

If you have placed an order and we are unable to process it e.g. product became out-of-stock due to manufacturing issues, we will contact you and process a 100% refund or exchange it for another similar product if you wish so.

In accordance with NZ Law and Health regulations, Medicines cannot be returned for credit because once it has left the pharmacy, we cannot guarantee it has been stored in the required storage environment and it is possible the product has been tampered with.  However, they can be returned for quarantine and destruction.

 

Warranty:

Our medical electrical products (such as blood glucose meters) come with a one year warranty if the defect has not been caused by the consumer. Some products e.g. Omron Blood Pressure monitors come with more than one year warranty on their products. Please retain your proof of purchase and contact the manufacturer directly. Any postage and handling is your responsibility.

We are not responsible for the actions, statements or activities of any other website or service, even if this service is referenced on this website. We do not warrant that any information available on the website or that is given from staff is accurate, current or complete and therefore not liable in any way for any damages arising from the use of this site, its information or its products. This limitation of liability applies to damages of any kind, including direct, indirect and incidental, injury, loss of income, profit, data, property and claims by third parties. We make no warranty that the site will meet your requirements. Using this website does not substitute the personal medical care provided by your local health professional.

Use of this online website by you, deems you have accepted our terms and conditions. As a registered New Zealand pharmacy, we are governed by New Zealand law against which our policies and standards are set. Therefore you, the user, agree that any legal proceedings/actions against NZ Online Chemist will be settled via the New Zealand Judicial system. For any concerns, do contact us prior to resolve any issues or disputes.

Spam:

We do not send out spam to customers and neither do we wish to receive it either. We have a zero tolerance to spam. In the unlikely event that you had received a message from us that you consider as spam, please contact us immediately and will be investigated.

 

Privacy Statement:

By using our website, you are authorising us to collect your personal information. We guarantee that all information received about our customers/patients through the website is not disclosed to any other party without your consent and is purely used for processing and delivery your order. This excludes information that is required by law to be provided. If you sign up to our newsletter, you are authorising us to send you promotional information. if you wish to unsubscribe, please notify us immediately. If you have any concerns regarding your privacy, please contact us.

Payments are done via Windcave which is a very safe method of payment as neither party have access to the other party’s bank credit card details.

We reserve the right to modify these terms of use at any time without notice and accept no liability or responsibility as a result of these changes.
