Composition
- Chlorhexidine wash Gluconate aqueous antiseptic skin cleanser
- Active ingredient is 4% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate
- Contains non-ionic surfactants, emollients and moisturizers specially selected
for their mildness to skin and their compatibility with chlorhexidine Gluconate - The activity of chlorhexidine Gluconate is formulation dependent
Chlorhexidine Gluconate Actions
- Absorbed through the bacterial cell wall obstructing its permeability
- Interferes with the cell's physiological activity leading to its destruction
- Provides cumulative and residual protection against micro-organisms
- Active against most Gram positive and negative bacteria
- Active against lipophilic viruses
